This second edition is an illustrated history, mostly wood engravings, of all types of Printing Presses used in the 1800’s. In this book are over 480 illustrations, including 25 Hand Presses, 135 Platen Presses and 55 Lever Presses from 194 manufacturers. There are over 150 new illustrations than were shown in the first edition of 1978. There is also a chapter on miscellaneous equipment, from inking balls to steam engines.
